Feline Pestivirus Antigen Rapid Test Kit

Expected Usage

Feline Pestivirus, also known as cat panleukopenia, cat infectious enteritis, is an acute and highly contagious infectious disease in cats. The clinical manifestations were characterized by sudden onset of high fever, intractable vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, circulatory disturbance and leucopenia. This kit can be used for the detection of Feline Pestivirus (FPV) antigen in cat stool, and can be used for screening and auxiliary diagnosis of Feline Pestivirus virus infection.

Mechanism of Reaction

Feline Pestivirus (FPV) antigen rapid detection kit was used to qualitatively detect Feline Pestivirus (FPV) in cat stool by colloidal gold immunochromatography. The feline pestivirus antibody was coated on the nitrocellulose membrane, and if the sample contained feline pestivirus, the virus would bind to the colloidal gold-coated feline pestivirus monoclonal antibody on the gold label pad to form an antibody- antigen complex. The complex was then combined with another monoclonal antibody against cat disease to form an antibody-antigen-antibody sandwich complex and gradually agglutinated into a visible T-line. The unconjugated colloidal gold antibody was chromatographed to the T-line, which was captured by the quality control line (C line) and formed a visible C-line. If the sample contained feline pestivirus, the T-line showed a red band. If the sample did not contain feline pestivirus, the T-line did not show a red band. The C-line showed a red band regardless of whether the sample contained feline pestivirus or not.
